Individuals are given an email account to be used for official College communications. Users can request assistance in restoring mailbox items or request an email message trace. If a new network and email account is needed you can request it here.
A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, allows you to create a secure and encrypted connection to another network over the Internet. VPNs can be used to access College network resources remotely.
Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) provides an additional layer of security when logging into Penn College services and applications. In addition to your username and password, you also have to provide an alternate method of authentication.
Our IBM AS400 computer is one of Penn College's primary resources for administrative computing. Through this system, employees can access the processes and data specific to their job responsibilities. The AS400 is still used for many legacy applications, while other applications have been moved to the web-based Employee Information System (EIS).
EIS is the Web-based component of the AS400, providing easy access to functions such as requesting leave, ordering parking permits, posting grades, viewing class rosters, changing your EIS/AS400 password, subscribing to PCT Alerts, and much more.
Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) is designed to reduce frustration related to forgotten passwords and locked accounts. This feature enables users to reset their password or unlock their account at any time using alternate identification methods.
Single Sign-On (SSO) allows users to authenticate with a single identity and gain access to multiple systems. Many of Penn College's internal systems as well as cloud-based applications are setup with SSO.
Departmental email/calendar accounts are created when business processes require an email address to have a shared inbox and/or calendar used by multiple people within a department. Alternatively, an email distribution list may work in place of a departmental email/calendar account.
Secure wireless connectivity is available in all buildings throughout main campus and all remote campuses. Wireless access is available for faculty, staff, students, visitors and guests.
