Our IBM AS400 computer is one of Penn College's primary resources for administrative computing. Through this system, employees can access the processes and data specific to their job responsibilities. The AS400 is still used for many legacy applications, while other applications have been moved to the web-based Employee Information System (EIS).


Individuals are given an email account to be used for official College communications. Users can request assistance in restoring mailbox items or request an email message trace. If a new network and email account is needed you can request it here.


Automated access control for cloud applications based on predefined conditions. This is used to prevent unauthorized access from outside the United States, evaluate and block high-risk sign-ins, and require that devices or applications used to access our cloud resources while off campus are up-to-date with security patches.

An email distribution list is a group of email recipients that is addressed as a single recipient. Distribution lists are used to send e-mail to groups of people without having to enter each recipient's individual email address.


EIS is the Web-based component of the AS400, providing easy access to functions such as requesting leave, ordering parking permits, posting grades, viewing class rosters, changing your EIS/AS400 password, subscribing to PCT Alerts, and much more.


Penn College provides three open computer labs for students to use.


All employees are given a VoIP (Voice over IP) desk phone to use when they are hired. Adjunct faculty typically share phones with other adjunct faculty. If you need a new phone, or changes to an existing phone you can request it here.

Office 365 is Microsoft's cloud-based version of the Microsoft Office Suite that includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive, and more. Office 365 gives you the ability to access these productivity tools anywhere you have access to the Internet.

Departmental email/calendar accounts are created when business processes require an email address to have a shared inbox and/or calendar used by multiple people within a department. Alternatively, an email distribution list may work in place of a departmental email/calendar account.


Secure wireless connectivity is available in all buildings throughout main campus and all remote campuses. Wireless access is available for faculty, staff, students, visitors and guests.

Information Technology Services provides FTP (File Transfer Protocol) services for students and employees to allow access to their network file storage from off campus. Any FTP client that supports Secure FTP (SFTP) can be used.


ITS will install new wired network connections, move existing wired network connections, or disconnect wired network connections that are no longer needed.
