Service Description
Penn College provides robust and secure wireless infrastructure throughout all residential, academic and administrative buildings. Multiple wireless networks (listed below) are provided for specific purposes.  Any other wireless networks that show up when setting up your wireless connection are NOT provided by Penn College.  ITS highly recommends that users should only connect to the official Penn College wireless networks listed below. 

  • PCT-New - New state of the art wireless to be used for laptops, smart phones and other devices capable of using username and password.
  • PCT - Old preferred connection to be used for laptops, smart phones and other mobile devices when PCT-New is unavailable.
  • PCT-IOT - Used for game consoles and other devices that are unable to connect to the "PCT" or "PCT-New" networks.  Not for laptops or smart phones.
  • PCT-2.4ghz - IOT network for devices that aren't capable of operating on the 5ghz wireless frequency.
  • PCT-Guest - Open, un-secure wireless network primarily used for guests and visitors of Penn College

Eligibility
Wireless connectivity is available to Penn College students, faculty, staff, alumni, invited guests and visitors to campus.

Cost
There is no cost associated with this service.

Your wireless MAC address is required to register a device for the PCT-IOT wireless network.
Your wireless MAC address is required to register a device for the PCT-IOT wireless network.
The wireless MAC address, or hardware ID, is required to register your device for the PCT-IOT network. This information can typically be found in the device's network settings menu or on a label on the device itself. Occasionally, you may need to connect to a network for the wireless MAC address to be viewable.
