Cummins Insite and Komatsu Installation

• Transferring the Activation Keys

If you need to reinstall or move the installation from one computer to another, the activation keys will need to be transferred in order to be used on the next install.  If this is not done, new keys will need to be obtained from Cummins.

1. Go to the Cummins folder in the Start Menu and open License Configuration Tool
2. Select Transfer Licenses in the left column and you should see both of the keys listed (Lite and Basic), check the boxes for both of the keys and click the button for Transfer Selected and it will release the keys and create a csv file for you records

• Installation

Current version is 8.9.0.130

1. Get the latest installer exe from \\nas2\cs\software\Cummins or by downloading from their website
2. Launch setup_8.9.0.130.exe
3. English should be selected for the Language, click Ok
4. Depending on what was already installed it may tell you it needs to install other components first, click Install
5. Accept the terms, click Next
6. Keep the default destination folder, click Next
7. When it is done, click Finish
8. The main install will now start, click Next
9. Make sure the date and time are correct, check the box to verify and click Next
10. Accept the terms, click Next
11. Keep the default destination folder, click Next
12. Click Install, when it is done click Finish
13. It will start to check for updates, if any are available click Yes to begin downloading and installing
14. If it needs a new version of the Update Manager it will close for a few minutes and open again when it is installed
15. When you get the list of available updates check the boxes for all of them and click the Install Updates button (round blue button with a folder on it)
16. When it is done downloading/installing everything, click the green checkmark button
17. It will check for more updates, keep doing these steps until there are no more updates.  It could take a few rounds.

• Activating

1. Open License Configuration Tool from the Cummins folder in the Start Menu
2. Go to the Activate Licenses section down the left side
3. Find the Activation Keys from TDX asset and enter the first one in the box for Activation Key and click Activate.  After it confirms the activation, enter the second key and click Activate.  (One key for each; MR-HD Plus Lite and Basic).  Select View Active Licenses on the left side and verify both the Lite and Basic keys are active
4. Close the License Configuration Tool, launch Insite and make sure it opens without any issues

• Komatsu

There is no extra software for Komatsu.  It uses the same Insite software as the Cummins engines.  Only difference is the activation keys, the Komastu keys unlocks the Komatsu features.  Install Insite as usual and use the Komastu activation keys found in the TDX asset.
