Overview
Existing videos from your Kaltura My Media content can easily be added to P.L.A.T.O. quizzes to create media-rich questions. This can be achieved within P.L.A.T.O.'s Question Editor for any question type (Multiple Choice, True or False, Fill in the Blanks, etc.).
Instructions
Step 1.
Within the Question Text box, place your text cursor in the area where you would like the video to embed. Then, click the Insert Stuff button from the ribbon.
Step 2.
Within the Insert Stuff pop-up box, choose Embed Kaltura Media.
Step 3.
Locate the appropriate video within the Embed Kaltura Media pop-up box, then click the Embed Settings button next to the video’s title.
Step 4.
From the Settings pop-up box, select the ‘Insert Stuff’ Player (no download option) from the Choose Player pull-down options.
Step 5.
For Max Embed Size, it is recommended that the 720x445 player size be used.
Step 6.
Once all settings have been adjusted, click the Embed button.
If preferred, these setting adjustments can be saved as the default by checking the checkbox for Set as my default settings for media type: Video.
Note that these default settings will carry across all Kaltura video embeds including videos being embedded to the Lesson Content section of P.L.A.T.O.
Step 7.
The video can be previewed within the Embed Kaltura Media pop-up. Click the Insert button to finish embedding the video into the question text.
Step 8.
Complete any remaining Question Text and populate your Answer choices for the question. Once finished, click Save.
