Replace "PLATO" with "P.L.A.T.O." - Microsoft Outlook (Email) Desktop Application

Overview

Years ago, when the College first adopted D2L Brightspace as our learning management system, we underwent a process to brand the platform for Penn College. Initially, it was decided that "PLATO" would serve as the new identity. However, it was brought to the Institution's attention that the reference to "PLATO" had already been trademarked by a different software platform. Eventually, it was determined that "P.L.A.T.O." (Platform for Learning and Teaching Online) was an acceptable and legal alternative.

This article demonstrates the steps to employ the Microsoft Outlook 'Mail > Spelling and Autocorrect' function to automate the change of "PLATO" to "P.L.A.T.O."
