Delete Manually Created Gradebook Items

Overview

Gradebook items that are not associated with a dropbox, quiz, or discussion are referred to as manually-created items. These items can be deleted from the Manage Grades More Actions menu.

Instructions

1. Navigate to the grade book and select the Manage Grades Tab if not already selected.
2. Locate the item you want to delete and verify that there is only a hyphen showing in the Association column, as shown in Figure 1 below.

3. Select the checkbox next to the item name
4. Select the Delete option from the "More Actions" menu. As a preventative measure, you will need to select the item again on the "Delete Grade Items and Categories" page.
5. Select the Delete button to complete the deletion.
