The Idea Box is a short form designed to capture your idea for something new or something that can be improved in our collective efforts to support our Students, Mission, and Team. Your Idea might be a change to an Anthology form or workflow, noting an inefficient process, or something completely new. You might not know how to get there or even where to start, but if you believe your Idea will make things better for you and your team, our students, or our community, we want to know more!
First, we'll create a User Story that describes Who your Idea will help, What your Idea is about, and Why you think it's worth doing.
Then, we'll get your guess at the scope and complexity of your Idea using T-Shirt Sizes.
- Is this a Small Idea that might help you and your team,
- a Medium or Large Idea with program- or school-level impacts,
- or an XL Idea that could transform the entire College?
Some Ideas have only a small window of opportunity, others are timeless. Does this Idea have a Hard Deadline, Ideal Timeline, or is time not a factor (N/A)?
Finally, we want to know the Inspiration for your Idea. Is there a process you find frustrating, but you have an Idea of how to improve it? Was there a change in compliance or reporting requirements? Or is this just a new idea that popped into your head?
