Installing Microsoft Office Apps on an Android/ChromeOS Device.

Overview

Microsoft has app versions of several pieces of the Office suite available on the Play Store. Applications such as Word, Excel, and Powerpoint can be used from your Android or ChromeOS device by logging in with your PCT network account. These instructions demonstrate how to install the Microsoft Word app. These instructions can be followed for any Microsoft Office app and the install and log in procedure will be the same. Links are provided here for your convenience.

Instructions

Step 1. 

Open the Play Store on your device.

Step 2.

Tap the search bar and type the name of the application you are looking for.

Select the application from the list of search results.

Step 4.

Tap the Install button to begin downloading the app.

Step 5.

The application may ask for permissions when first opened as seen below. Select Allow for the application to continue opening.

Step 6.

The first Office app you install on a device will prompt you to log in. Log in with your PCT email account and network password, which has an Office 365 license attached for all active students.

Step 7.

Repeat the process above for the other Office applications you want to have installed on your device.
