Connecting a Chromebook or Chrome OS Device to "PCT-New" Wireless Networks

Instructions on connecting Chromebook or Chrome OS Device to PCT-New Wireless Networks.

Use these network settings when connecting to the network.

  1. If you see PCT-New in the list of available networks, tap on it to start the connection process.
  2. You should see the following fields: Security, EAP Method, and Server CA Certificate. For each option, select the information specified below.
    • Security: EAP
    • EAP Method: PEAP
      • EAP Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPv2
    • Server CA Certificate: Do Not Check
  3. Once you set the Server CA Certificate to Do Not Check, more settings should appear on the screen. Continue to fill out each option as specified below.
    • Identity: PCT username (Does not include @pct.edu)
    • Password: PCT Password (Same as email password)
    • Anonymous IdentityLeave this option blank.

The above steps highlighted in red.

  1. Press the Connect button to join the network.

If you do not have the ability to enter your credentials you might need to forget the PCT-New network and retry to connect using these settings again.  If you experience issues still, please open a ticket with our IT Service Desk.  Thanks.
