Registration

Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

This is the online scheduling tool.  Once a student meets with their advisor, they will be released to schedule for the upcoming semester at a pre-selected time, based off number of credits earned. If a student is dual enrolled, they must be certain they are under the correct enrollment by using the drop-down menu.

To search for a course, a student will enter the Course Code (a section number is not needed), click on the blue plus sign, and then click Search.

Course Search Field

The student will add the needed courses to their shopping cart by clicking on the green plus sign in the far-left column.

Adding Courses to Cart for Online Registration

Once all courses are added to the shopping cart, the student will click on the Register/Drop button, which will ask for a final review before being prompted to click on the Register button a second time. Once registered, courses will appear in yellow. If a student is placed on a waitlist, or encounters a scheduling conflict, the courses denote that status.

Online Registration Shopping Cart

If a student is placed on a waitlist and a seat becomes available the system will reserve a seat for that student for 24 hours. The student will receive an email alert to their pct.edu account, letting them know they can claim this reserved seat by logging back into the Registration feature on the Student Portal. The student DOES NOT need to re-add this course to their shopping cart! Scroll to the pre-saved shopping cart and the student will find the reserved seat is already there for them. Student will click on the Register/Drop button to claim their reserved seat.

Degree Audit

Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

Degree Audit is similar to the Graduation Audit/Student Profile. The audit is no longer split by semester, but rather by major and support course requirements. This will show all student's enrollment information-be mindful that there will be a drop-down option if the student has been, or is currently in, more than one program. This area will show if a course is in future, scheduled, current, or fulfilled status.

Electives: During the advising period, the student must select the desired elective for each particular pool. If a student does not pre-select the desired elective course, it will not appear for them as an option during online registration.

Program Options allows students to view hypotheticals if they might be considering a major change.
