Connecting an Apple iOS Device to the "PCT" & "PCT-New" Wireless Networks

Summary

Apple iOS devices such as iPhones and iPads can connect to the PCT or PCT-New wireless networks by simply entering your network username and password when joining the network and trusting the certificate when prompted.

Instructions

Step 1

In your device’s Wi-Fi settings, locate the 'PCT' or 'PCT-New' network and tap the blue information icon () next to it to begin the connection process.

Step 2

In the Wi-Fi settings, tap the arrow (>) next to 'Private Wi-Fi Address' and select Off (instead of 'Fixed' or 'Rotating'). When prompted, tap Allow Tracking. Then, tap the back button in the top left corner and select 'Join This Network' to complete the connection.

Step 3

 

Enter your PCT Credentials, your username is everything before "@pct.edu" and then hit "Join".

Step 4

The first time connecting, and yearly, you will need to trust the certificate for ise.pct.edu or nps4.pct.edu depending on what SSID you're connecting to. 

Click on "Trust" to finish connecting.

You should now be connected to the wireless network. 

If you happen to see "Limited Compatibility", do not be concerned this is expected.
