Microsoft Forms - Deleting a Form

Overview

Please follow these instructions to delete a Microsoft Form. A Microsoft Form must be deleted by its owner. If a Microsoft Form is owned by a Microsoft 365 Group, the form can be deleted by any owner or member of the group. If you aren't sure if a Microsoft Form is owned by a user or a group, please continue following these instructions.

 

Delete a Microsoft Form

  1. Navigate to https://forms.office.com.
     
  2. Optional - if it isn't already selected, changing the view to List View will display more information. To toggle between views, please click the respective icons, shown below.

  3. On the Forms page, you have several ways to locate forms.
    1. My forms - the current user owns these forms.
       
    2. Shared with me - another user owns these forms and you have been granted "Collaborator" access.
       
    3. The forms listed under "My groups" are owned by Microsoft 365 groups. If forms are visible here, it means you are an owner or member of the group. Any owner or member can delete the form.

  4. Once the desired form has been identified, hover over it and click the three dots for More Options. Then, click Delete.

  5. If you've followed these instructions and you cannot locate the form in question, please contact ITS and we will assist. Please be prepared to provide a link to the Microsoft Form.
