Overview
Are you looking for a new way to motivate your students? Take a look at P.L.A.T.O. Awards. These digital badges are modeled after badges that you might have earned as a Boy or Girl Scout. Awards can be granted to students for achieving a grade on a select assignment, completing a checklist, or performance at a select rubric level. Once a student satisfies the criteria for a badge, he or she will see a award pop-up in the P.L.A.T.O. course site. Awards are available from a course site's Resources Menu and are typically hidden until they are earned. Faculty should restrict the availability of awards to his/her own course sites and refrain from changing the issuer information of awards created by other users. Faculty can create their own badge icons or use D2L's built-in ones. The badges shown below are examples of some that are available.
